Military families protesting the Secretary of Anti-Defense of the Department of Defense Pete Hegseth on his arrival at the headquarters of the United States European Command in Germany on Tuesday.

These movements occurred against a broader Trump administration initiative to rescind federal employees in roles of diversity, equity and inclusion, in many cases specifically related to the United States armed forces.
In his first weeks in office, Trump signed four executive orders related to the army that included one that prohibits transgender people enlisting and serving openly and another for Dei’s initiatives in armed services.
The protests of military families against a Secretary of Defense are extremely rare, although it is not the first time that Hegseth has been demonstrated. During his Senate confirmation hearing last month, protesters interrupted him repeatedly during his opening statement, and one attacked him as a “Christian Zionist” for his support for the Israel War against Hamas in Gaza.
Hegesh, a former news presenter and Fox’s veteran combat, was finally confirmed by the Senate, with vice president JD Vance emitting a vote to avoid a draw, marking only the second time in the story that a vice president needed to break a Draw for a tie for a draw by nominated at the cabinet level.
