Meghan Markle and Billie Eilish have joined to bring a sincere surprise to a 15 -year fan after Eaton’s fire destroyed her Altadena house in Los Angeles County.
The Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry, recently visited the area affected by forest fires in southern California, which is about 100 miles from her house in Montecito, to connect with the families after the tragedy. The couple met a mother and daughter whose house had been reduced to ashes.
The Duchess of Sussex went to her Instagram on Tuesday to tell the emotional encounter.
“And his mother shared something with me and said that when they returned to see their home for the first time, it is while we knew them, that everything he had been looking for at home was the shirt of El Concert de Billie Eilish that had just gone to That he left in the washing machine or in the dryer, “Markle explained.
“And, of course, now they see their home, and the washing machine and the dryer, they are ashes,” he said. “They are no longer there.”
Markle was determined to help, but he needed to gather connections to get to the Grammy winning pop star.
“And then I said: ‘I don’t know Billie Eilish, but I’m going to discover how to get this shirt,” Markle said. “So I thought about everyone I knew, and I made a voice note, and I thought: ‘Please, can anyone have this voice note to Billie Eilish, this is what I am asking, guys'”.
The message came to singer Adam Levine and his wife Behati Prinsloo. With his help, Billie Eilish was informed and sent to the teenager a “Hit Me Hard” signed vinyl record, tin lunchbox and other goods.
“Thank you very much, Billie Eilish. This will mean a lot to her. And honestly, for Adam Levine and Behati, you helped overcome this, ”said Markle. “For all who present people with large and small ways to overcome what happened in California, thank you very much.”
Meghan Markle representatives did not immediately respond to a request for NBC comments on surprise.
