Nueva Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Drugupadi Murmu extended greetings about the EID-UM-FITR festival on Monday.
“Greetings on Eid-ul-Fitr. That this festival improves the spirit of hope, harmony and kindness in our society. That there is joy and success in all its efforts. Eid Mubarak!” Prime Minister Modi said in an X publication.

“I extend my greetings to all my compatriots, especially to my Muslim brothers and sisters, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. This festival strengthens the spirit of the brotherhood and transmits the message of compassion, good will and charity. I pray so that this festival bring peace, prosperity and happiness to the life of all path.

The leader of the Bharatiya Janata party, Shahnawaz Hussain, extended his wishes to the nation emphasizing peace and unity. “I extend my best wishes to the people in the country on the occasion of EID. Today, people have accurately offered Namaz everywhere. Eid is the day to forget everything and hug. I pray so that there is unity in the country and that our country progresses,” he said.
The sighting of the growing moon marked the end of Ramadan, and on Monday morning, millions of Muslims throughout the country gathered in mosques and prayer terrain to celebrate Eid Ul-Fitr.
