A school teacher in the Mansehra district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly violating a student and filming him, police said. Dawn.com.

In the FIR, the plaintiff informed that his sister told him that the assault took place two years ago in a classroom at a secondary school of the government and that the teacher allegedly used the video as blackmail to silence it.

The FIR was presented at the Lassan Nawab police station under sections 376 (punishment for violation) – Read with section 53 (sexual abuse) of the Child Protection Law (CPA) – and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Pakistan Criminal Code.
Meanwhile, said Mansehra District Police officer, Shafiullah Gandapur Dawn.com that the suspect was arrested from a different high school in Mansehra today. “We arrest the suspect and recover objectable videos of his phone,” he added.
When asked why there was no press conference on the incident, the DPO responded by saying that the incident was a “sensitive problem” and that one was planning.
“Teaching is a respectable profession, and that is why we do not hold a press conference on the subject,” he told Dawn.com.
