Man wanted after 3 people found dead in Bracebridge residence that burned down


The police are looking for a man in relation to three deaths and fires that occurred on Friday night at a residence in Braciange.

The 29 -year -old man, who is from Bracebridge, is sought by murder, the Provincial Police of Ontario (OPP) said on Saturday in X, previously Twitter. It is described as approximately 5’8 “high, with light brown hair and facial hair, police said.

The officers responded to a gunshot report at approximately 8 pm at Beatrice Town Line Road on Friday. When they arrived, they found a dead man and the residence was wrapped in flames, OPP said.

After investigating, the officers confirmed that two additional people were found dead within the residence, which was destroyed in the fire, OPP said in a press release on Sunday.

Identities cannot be revealed until a post mortem exam is performed, according to the statement.

Police say they do not believe there is a threat to public security at this time. A refuge in the place was in force for Bracebridge until 1:45 am on Saturday.

The Bracebridge OPP crime unit is investigating, together with the OPP emergency response equipment, the Tactical Response Unit and the Canine Unit of the central region.
