Nueva Delhi: a man has been reserved for allegedly deceiving three women in marriage by falsely affirming being a “widower” and a “employee of the Special Tax Department”, while convincing one of them to take a loan that is worth Lakhs in his name, said the Uttar Pradesh police on Saturday.
“Kiran, who had been divorced, claimed that he met Rajan in 2019. He appeared falsely as an employee of the Special Tax Department and claimed to be a widower without children,” additional police superintendent (ASP) at the Robertsganj station, Kalu Singh said to the PTI news agency.
According to Asp Singh, Kiran and Rajan married in a Varanasi temple in 2022 and lived together for two years. During this period, they crack, according to the reports, persuaded Kiran to obtain a loan of 42 LAKH of RS, saying that it was necessary for the construction of a house.
Kiran filed a police complaint after learning that Rajan was not an employee of the Special Tax Department in Lalitpur, where he claimed to have been transferred.
Singh confirmed that an investigation into Rajan Gehlot He had been launched after Kiran, an assistant teacher from Sant Kabir Nagar, filed a complaint.
An additional investigation revealed that Rajan had also married Sarita, a teacher from Ambedkar Nagar, in 2014. But Rajan’s relationship with Sarita, with whom she had a son, finally became sour, which led her to present a FIR against him at the Women’s Police station in Ambedkar Nagar in 2016.
Similarly, a third woman, Neelima Singh, contacted the police claiming that Rajan had cheated her to marriage by misrepresenting her job history.
“The three women expressed concern that the defendant could have committed fraud with other women too,” said Asp Singh.
