A man was killed while another was injured on Sunday night when a luxury car hit them in the Gulshan-I-Iqbal de Karachi neighborhood, according to police officers and rescue services.
The city has recently witnessed an increase in traffic accidents, especially involving water dumpeters and oil tankers, who killed almost 500 people and injured 4,879 in 2024, according to hospital data.
The incident on Sunday night angered the residents of the area, who allegedly beat the driver and set fire to his car, leaving him completely destroyed.
