The man accused in the homicide of Alexander Lo, the older brother of the murderer of the Festival of Lapu-Lapu Day, Kai-Ji Adam Lo, declared himself guilty of second degree murder.
Alexander Lo, 31, was found dead in a house near Knight Street and East 33rd Avenue in Vancouver in the early hours of January 29, 2024.
Dwight William Kematch, 39, was arrested on the scene and accused of murder. He declared himself guilty of the only second degree murder position on Friday.
Kematch’s judgment hearing has been scheduled for August 11 at 10 am PT in Vancouver.
The researchers have not said how Alexander died.
Three months ago, his younger brother, Kai-Ji Adam Lo, was arrested after allegedly leading his SUV to a crowd at the Lapu-Lapu Day Festival in Vancouver, killing 11 people and hurting more dozens.
He faces 11 second degree murder positions and is currently the subject of a judicial hearing to determine if he is suitable for being tried for those positions.
Police have said that Kai-Ji Adam was under the care of a mental health team at the time of the alleged car packaging attack.
