Lahore ATC orders confiscation of properties owned by Dr Yasmin Rashid, other PTI leaders – Pakistan

An anti -terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore ordered the confiscation properties owned by PTI leaders, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Ejaz Chaudry, Omar Sarfraz Chema and Mian Mehmoodur Rashid one day after they were sentenced in the cases of May 9.

Judge ATC-I Manzer Ali Gill sentenced Dr. Yasmin, Chaudhry, Chema and Rashid in both cases to 10 years in prison. However, the court acquitted the leader of PTI Shah Mahmood Qureshi in two cases more related to the disturbances of May 9.

Gill was also made by Gill, who ordered the confiscation of the properties of the leaders of PTI condemned and issued prison orders for them.

The court sentenced the four 10 -year leaders in jail each and fined them with RS 600,000. He handed the prison superintendent orders.

In a separate development, Judge Gill ordered Qureshi’s release in two cases of May 9.

“If Shah Mehmood Qureshi is not desired in any other case, then he should be released,” Judge Gill said.

Despite today’s acquittal, Qureshi will not yet be released from jail.

On Saturday, the ATC had reserved its verdict in the two cases related to the disturbances of May 9: the attack of the Shadman Police Station and the burning of police vehicles near Jinnah House, after completing the procedures in the Kot Lakhpat prison. The judge concluded the hearings inside the jail in two sessions throughout the day.

Last month, Lahore ATC had acquitted Qureshi while sentenced Dr. Yasmin, Chaudhry, Chema, Rashid and others to 10 years in prison for a case of disturbances on May 9 related to violence in the Sherpao bridge.
