Los Angeles-A group of thieves snatched a lot of the most wanted toy of the summer after they broke into a Los Angeles County store during the night, the store on Instagram said.
A sales stop at La Puente said that four men broke into the store and stole “our entire inventory”, which included several of the modern Labubu dolls: luxury luxury toys that have exploded in popularity.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department said the agents responded to a robbery in the 600 block of Glendora Avenue in La Puente, east of Los Angeles, at 1:29 am on Wednesday.
“Several boxes of Labubu dolls were stolen, valued at approximately seven thousand dollars,” Sheriff’s department said in a statement.
The thieves were using a stolen Toyota Tacoma that recovered shortly after the robbery, said the Sheriff’s office.
A sales stop published a security video in the store on Instagram that shows that a group of masked men enters the store as the glass of breaking glass is heard. Men can be seen in the videos taking store boxes from the store.
“Today they stole us, and they took all our inventory shattered our store, we are still in shock, if you can share this publication, please and help you find these thieves!” A sales stop wrote on Instagram.
According to the store’s website, some of the main Labubus cost $ 500. A Labubu collection that was reduced in spring was sold for $ 27.99, but the retail market for the luxurious collectibles, specifically this summer, has been hot.
Labubu dolls are made and sold exclusively by Pop Mart, a Chinese retailer known by the “blind box” collectibles. When they buy one of the Boxesm, buyers do not know what color or Labubu design they are getting until they open them.
It was not clear immediately with how many Labubus the thieves did. The store had been promoting its inventory on social networks in the days before theft.
