The incident caused a strong response from the workers of Shiv Sena (Shinde Facion) that vandalized the place where Kamra made.

Kamra vs Sena

During his stand-up show, Kamra made a parody of a popular Hindi song of “Dil a Pagal Hai”, which refers to Shinde as a “gaddar” (traitor). He also made jokes about recent political developments in Maharashtra, including parties divisions within Shiv Sena and NCP.
“Meri Nazar was Tum Dekho to Gaddar Nazar Wo Aaye. Haaye,” Kunal Kamra said during his show.

“Shiv Sena first came out of the BJP, then Shiv Sena left Shiv Sena. NCP left NCP, they gave nine buttons to a voter … Everyone confused,” he added.
According to police officers, SENA workers vandalized Hotel Unicinental in the Khar de Mumbai area, where Kamra’s show was filmed with the mockery ‘Gaddar’ (traitor) in Eknath Shinde. They also looked for a fir against him.
A FIR was registered against the Secretary General of Shiv Sena Yuva Sena Rahool Kanal and another 19 for destroying the comedy of Standup Habitat in several sections of the Bens and Maharashtra Police Law.

Fir against Kamra

Shiv Sena Mla Murji Patel presented a fir against Kamra and issued an ultimatum, demanding an apology in two days. Patel threatened to restrict Kamra’s movement in Mumbai and promised to raise the problem in the assembly.
“We have filed a Fir against Kunal Kamra for his comments against our leader and DCM Eknath Shinde de Maharashtra. We have demanded a quick action against him. I want to tell him that he apologizes to Eknath Shinde in two days, otherwise, Shiv Sainiks will not allow him to move freely in Mumbai,” Patel said.

“If you are seen anywhere in the public, we will paint you in black … we will address this problem in the Assembly and ask the Interior Minister of our State to order the measures against him as soon as possible,” he added.
The party leaders dismissed Kamra as a “hired comedian” commenting for money.
“Kunal Kamra is a hired comedian, and he is commenting on our leader for some money. And much less Maharashtra, Kunal Kamra cannot go freely anywhere in India; Shiv Sainiks will show him his place. We feel unfortunate for Sanjay Raut and Shiv Sena (UBT) who do not have party workers or leaders who are commented on our leader They are boiling like him (Kunal) that Kunal) for party workers.

Opposition support

The opposition, particularly Shiv Sena (UBT), defended Kamra and condemned the attack. Aaditya Thakeray called Vandalism an act of cowardice of “the Mindhe gang” and questioned the situation of the law and the order of the State.

“Mindhe Coward Gang (Read Shinde) breaks the comedy scenario where Comedian Kunal Kamra took out a song in Eknath Mindhe, which was 100 percent true. Only an insecure coward would react to a song of someone,” said Shiv Sena Ubt Ubt and Mla Aaditya Thaceray.
Sena’s deputy, Sanjay Raut, shared Kamra’s video, praising him as “Kunal Ka Kamal”, while Priyanka Chaturvedi criticized the justification of violence over disagreement.
