Khyber Medical University fires officer, expels student in harassment case – Pakistan

Peshawar: Khyber Medical University has finished the services of a superior officer and has expelled a student on recommendations from his harassment committee.

According to a press release issued on Wednesday, the Vice Chancellor of Kmu, the Vice Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor, Ziaul Haq received a formal complaint, regarding an incident of harassment inside an exam room on May 18.

The harassment committee investigated the matter and listened to the plaintiff and the alleged stalkers to guarantee due process, he said.

After the findings of the Committee, the administration of KMU took disciplinary measures, finishing an 18 -year degree, with almost 17 years of service, since its position. The student involved in the incident was expelled from the university and forbidden to any future registration in KMU, according to the statement.

In the last two years, the university team has constantly maintained its zero tolerance policy against harassment by taking strict measures, including the main sanctions for minors, against perpetrators.

The University remains determined in its mission of providing a safe and worthy space for all students, teachers and staff.
