Kentucky man accused of killing partner had to-do list to cover it up, police say

A Kentucky man accused of fatally shooting his partner and leaving the body at home allegedly had a verification list of tasks that he needed to complete after the murder, authorities said.

Daniel A. Kearney, 39, was arrested on September 11 in relation to the death of Damian Poole, who was reported as disappeared on Tuesday by his mother. His remains were found on Thursday night at a McCeary County house.

Kearney was accused of murder, body abuse, manipulation of physical evidence and cruelty with animals, said Kentucky State Police in a press release. It is not clear if you have obtained a lawyer.

While investigating Poole’s disappearance, the officers obtained a search warrant for their residence. Poole was found in his ankles for a piece of Nylon rope and had been covered with several blankets in a back room, according to an arrest appointment for Kearney.

The authorities said Poole, 36, suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Two of his dogs were also found dead at home, according to the appointment.

The researchers said that Poole’s remains were decomposed and that the body had been at home “for a prolonged period of time.” A lot of sheets, cardboard and other items containing what it seemed to be blood, as well as a suitcase with an AR style rifle that the authorities, according to the authorities, belonged to Poole were also found in the house.

According to the appointment, other firearms were found in a caravan where Kearney lived, according to the appointment. The researchers also located a notebook “that contains a list of verification of things that had to do,” says the appointment.

“When reading this verification list, it was evident that it was a verification list to clean the residence, get rid of the evidence, paint everything … and get rid of the body,” says the appointment. “The notes even detailed everything that is burned and extending the ashes on the roads, but not in Kentucky. This notebook was seized, along with all the firearms and electronics.”

A reason in the murder is still clear. The neighbors told the authorities that the couple would often have “very noisy and heated arguments.” The appointment states that the neighbors also supposedly told the police that they heard shooting during a discussion several weeks ago.

A witness said that it was supposed to know that Kearney was “very aggressive and violent.” The witness said they had asked where Poole was, and Kearney supposedly said that Poole had gone to take care of something but never returned, according to the appointment.

Kearney supposedly suggested to the witness that Poole could have traveled to Michigan.

Kearney is detained at the Knox detention center. It is scheduled to be prosecuted on Thursday.
