Kenny Pickett goes to his fourth NFL season and plays in his third NFL team while competing for the work of Marshal Field Field at Browns Camp. And he says that spending last year on Philadelphia is what prepared him best for the opportunity he has in Cleveland.
When asked about the lessons of his time in Pittsburgh that they are benefiting in Cleveland, Pickett said that it is actually his time in Philadelphia what he really helped.
“There are more similarities with the Philly system,” said Picktt. “Many of the concepts are the same and the teaching is the same … I am extremely grateful for my time in Philadelphia. They showed me how it is supposed to do, in fact, from top to bottom. So you have the opportunity to see how it is supposed to be and how it should be seen in the day to day, not only on Sundays. I think you will pay the dividences for me in my future.”
That answer has been taken by some as A Steelers ShotAlthough Picktt said nothing negative about the Steelers, who wrote it in the first round in 2022 before exchanging it to the Eagles a year ago. But Pickett said his weekly preparation in Philadelphia, although he was supporting Jalen Hurts, he did a lot to help him understand what is needed to succeed in the NFL.
“When I was in Philadelphia, I would prepare as if I were the headline, because you never know when that opportunity is going to be played,” said Picktt.
Pickett said that the activities of the organized teams of the Browns have been a good division of representatives between the four quarters that compete for the initial work, and that it is working well with Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. He also worked well with Jalen Hurts last year, and thinks that he becomes the head of the Browns, he will have that year to prove his growth as a field marshal.
