Just out of five Victories of Grammy, a “humble” Kendrick Lamar took the Superdome Field Sunday to perform the part -time show, becoming the first solo rapper to head the event.
SZA and DJ MUSTARD joined for some of the numbers. In a surprise appearance, actor Samuel L. Jackson started things, dressed as an uncle Sam today and appeared among songs to keep things in motion. Tennis star Serena Williams also made a cameo during the performance.
Lamar started with “GNX”, which was held from above a black car. He quickly made the transition to “disputes” before singing one of his previous successes, “humble.”
Lamar, originally from Compton, California, wore a red, white and blue bomber jacket combined with jeans and sneakers, and was surrounded by dancers also dressed in the colors of the nation. At one time, they created a human American flag on stage.
After two more songs: “DNA” and “Euphoria”, Sza joined Lamar on stage for “Luther” and “All The Stars”. Understanding the theme, she was dressed with red.

The two artists have had an ongoing dispute, which intensified last month when Drake filed a federal demand against Universal Music Group claiming that he defamed him by spreading a “false and malicious narrative” when he promoted “not like us.” A UMG spokesman has said that the accusations are “false.”
For the final number, Dj Mustard joined Lamar on stage to make “TV off”, since the words “Game Over” appeared in the lights on the field to cover another part -time program of the Super Bowl.

February has been a great month for Lamar, who comes from a particularly hot 2024.
“Rap music remains the most shocking genre to date. And I will be there to remind the world why. They obtained the right one, ”said Lamar, 37, in a statement in September when he was announced as the headline.

Lamar is one of the most decorated rap artists in history, with 22 Grammy Awards and 29 Bet Awards. In 2018, he won a Pulitzer Award for Music, making him the first musician to win the title outside the classic or jazz genres.
