Karachi Port remains operational – Pakistan

Karachi: Port operations continued as usual on Friday, since Karachi Port Trust (KPT) successfully restored its X accounts (previously Twitter).

This occurred after the reports suggested that the accounts had been pirate and disseminated false information, claiming that the port had suffered significant damage due to an Indian strike, which resulted in substantial losses for the installation.

“Our IT team has recovered social networks accounts in 30 minutes,” said a KPT official, added that a media team was also invited at night to witness soft load management operations, while no infrastructure was damaged.

KPT handled 168,082 tons of load, comprising 108,856 tons of importation and 59,226 tons of export.

A total of eight ships took bunk beds while three ships sailed. Around nine ships that transport containers, general load and ammonium nitrate will arrive in the next two days.
