The Darakshan Police on Saturday registered a case against eight suspects nominated under terrorism and murder charges for killing the main lawyer Khawaja Shamsul Islam and critically hurting his little son inside a mosque in Karachi’s defense housing authority one day before.

“My brother Khawaja Shamsul Islam, along with their two young children and two guards, had gone to offer Friday prayers and attend funeral prayers in the Mosque of the Coran Academy located in Khayaban-I-Rahat, phase 6,” said the first.

The plaintiff added that the victim’s youngest son was unharmed in the incident and took his father injured to a private hospital in Clifton, while unidentified people took the injured son to another private hospital in the same place.
“Khawaja Shamsul Islam expired during treatment while her son was admitted with critical injuries,” added the FIR.
The plaintiff claimed that the main suspect, along with 15-20 accomplices, attacked the lawyer last November, in which he was shot twice and tortured. The case was registered in the Clifton Police under terror and other positions.
“Now, the suspect, his two brothers and five other suspects attacked together … resulting in the death of the lawyer and serious injuries to his son,” said the plaintiff, adding that the incident also caused fear and chaos among the general public.
The plaintiff said he wanted legal procedures against the suspected nominated on terrorism, the positions of murder and criminal conspiracy.
