An anti -terrorism court of Karachi (ATC) on Monday to the president of the Municipal Corporation of the City of Chanesar (TMC), Farhan Ghani, in a four -day physical prison for the alleged assault of an employee of the government.
Farhan, brother of the leader of the PPP and Minister of the local government of Sindh, Saeed Ghani, was arrested and remodeling in a terrorism and attempted murder on Sunday for allegedly assaulting a government employee who supervises the fiber optic network that establishes work in Sharea Faisal. Saeed had said that his brother and his associates would voluntarily surrender and demonstrate his “innocence in court.”
Farhan, Shakeel and Qamar Ahmed were produced before the ATC today at the end of their one -day police custody.
The court asked the IO the charges under which the defendants were reserved, to which the IO replied that the defendant had defeated the plaintiff while he and others were placing the fiber optic cable in Sharea Faisal.
Farhan, who had no legal representation, denied the claim, stating that he was “falsely accused.” He continued to say that he was just happening and, as president of TMC, he had the “right to ask why the area had been unearthed.”
“I asked for a permission certificate, but they could not produce one,” Farhan said, and added that it is his job “to stop anything illegal.”
In response to court investigation on how they were arrested for suspects, IO said they had delivered.
Then, the IO asked the judge to grant the police the 14 -day custody of the suspects for greater investigation. However, the court approved a four -day physical return until August 28.
He also ordered the IO to present a progress report at the next hearing.
The plaintiff Hafiz Sohail Jadoon had submitted a first information report (FIR) at the Ferozabad Police Station on Saturday night.
According to the FIR, around 4:47 pm on August 22, around 20-25 people, including Farhan, arrived at the site of the incident in three vehicles and asked if he had permission to dig up Sharea Faisal.
Jadoon claimed that he told them that he had all the required permits, but some of them were misbehaved with him and asked him to stop the job immediately. The plaintiff said that when he insisted that he had all the required non -objection certificates, they began using an abusive language and hitting him.
He continued saying that the men dragged him to a gunpoint to a room from a nearby fuel station, keeping him in illegal confinement and continued hitting him.
Meanwhile, a police team arrived and rescued the plaintiff. They took him to the police station, where he housed the FIR.
