Former Vice President Kamala Harris announced Thursday that she is launching a memory about her failed 2024 presidential campaign, which was launched just over a year ago.

The memoirs will tell their brief campaign stretch after the then President Joe Biden retired from the race with only a few months before the elections, throwing the Democratic Party to an unprecedented territory.
“With frankness and reflection, I have written a story behind the scene of that trip,” he said. “I think there is courage to share what I saw, what I learned and what I know will need to move forward.”
The announcement occurs when the Democrats, outside of power in the White House, the Chamber and the Senate, seek to recover support in the midst of the surveys that indicate that the public perception of the party remains largely negative.
Only one day before announcing his memoirs, Harris shared that he decided not to run for governor in California. NBC News reported that two sources close to Harris said I was looking to maintain an open option to run again for president 2028.
The former vice president did not approach her political future in her announcement video, although she said she would continue “fighting.”
“Sometimes the fight takes a while, but I’m still full of hope, and I still with my eyes clear,” he said. “I will never stop fighting so that our country reflects the best of its ideals, always in the name of the people.”
The book, planned to be published by Simon & Schuster, is scheduled for its launch in September. Harris had been “working in the manuscript for several months,” Simon & Schuster said in a press release, noting that the former vice president would also narrate the audiobook.
