Srinagar: Continuing their repression against the separatists for the second consecutive day, the Jammu and Kashmir Hurriyat Conference and Tehreek Hurriyat Conferenceas part in your probe towards UAPA cases.
Armed with raid orders issued by a NIA court, the police raided Hurriyat Chief, Abdul Gani Bhat, the houses of Sopore and Srinagar and Anantnag resides from the Tehreek Hurriyat conference, Ashiq Hussain, Ghulam Nabi Sumji of the Muslim conference, and Muktha The Muslim Conference of Popular League Jammu Kashmirinter alia.
“Cases refer to prohibited organizations, including the Muslim Conference J & K, J & K Muslim League, J & K Democratic Freedom Party. These proactive operations are aimed at neutralizing the networks that threaten peace and stability,” said the police.
The raids coincide with the decision of the Movement of the J & K peoples and the democratic political movement J & K to leave the Hurriyat conference.
On March 11, the Ministry of Interior of the Union declared the J & K Awami Action Committee of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq (AAC) and Mohammad Abbas Ansari J & K Ittehadul Muslimeen (Jkim) as “illegal association” for the next five years. Both forbidden outfits are constituents of the Hurriyat Conference.
