Jimmy Carter dies at 100
Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States, He died at 100 years old. Carter was a defender of human rights and a mediator of international peace.
A native of Georgia and a Democrat, he was elected president in 1976 and served one term before losing re-election after demonstrating his inability to resolve the Iran hostage crisis. In 2002, Carter received the Nobel Peace Prize for his human rights work around the world. He was the oldest former president in United States history and the first president to turn 100 years old.
Carter had been under hospice care since February 2023 at his home in Plains, Georgia, where he lived with his wife of 77 years, Rosalynn Carter. The former first lady died, aged 96 in November 19, 2023.

Putin failed to admit responsibility. He did not say whether Russian air defenses hit the plane. The Kremlin said an investigation was underway and civilian and military specialists were being questioned.
Two U.S. military officials told NBC News on Friday that Russian missiles may have hit the plane, saying they had intelligence indicating the Russians may have misidentified it as a drone and shot it down.
Aliyev said on Sunday that the plane was shot down by Russia, albeit unintentionally, and accused Moscow of trying to “silence” the matter for days.
Trump enters simmering MAGA dispute
President-elect Donald Trump is weighing in on a dispute dividing factions of the MAGA world over temporary worker visas.

Israeli forces detain Gaza hospital director
