The Olympic Jabalina champion of Pakistan, Arshad Nadeem and Neeraj Chopra of India, will block horns next month in the Diamond League event in Silesia, Poland, in their first head to head contest from the Olympic Games in Paris, emerged on Saturday.
The confrontation occurs in the midst of high political tensions between Pakistan and India, which have shed the world of sport.
A press release from Diamond League, issued on July 9, announced that athletes participated in the next competition in Poland, including the medium distance corridor of Kenya, Faith Kipyegon.
The contest between Nadeem and Chopra was described as “the first opportunity for revenge after the Olympic Games in Paris.”
“The Pakistani shape remains a mystery, since it rarely appears in the European circuit,” said the press release. “The exception that will make on August 16 results from his desire to face Chopra.”
The press release said that Chopra launched this spring 90 meters, adding that it is “longing for.” Last week, Chopra headed the ‘Neeraj Chopra Classic’, announced as the inaugural world class competition of India, and left with another gold medal.
In May, Nadeem launched a huge 86.4m to win gold in the final of the male javelin in the Asian athletic championship in Gumi, South Korea.
