New Delhi: Shiv Sena’s Yuva Sena (Shinde faction) General Secretary Rahool Kanal Monday said no matter any protection of the comedian Kunal Kamra I arrived at Tamil Nadu, every time I arrived in Mumbai, it will be welcome in “Shiv Sena style.”
These comments occurred after the Madras Superior Court granted an interim early bond to Kunal Kamra, who moved to the court saying that although he was born in Mumbai, he had moved to Villupuram, Tamil Nadu, in 2021 to lead a quiet life. Kunal Kamra faces a legal problem after complaints that accuse him of making derogatory comments in a foot comedy against politicians.
While talking with Ani, Rahool Kanal said: “After the law procedure, (Shiv Sena) Yuva Sena members come to the police station to attend every Monday and Thursday. We appreciate the verdict of the Court that gives it relief, but it is only until April 7. It should come and face the law …”
Kanal, who was arrested with another 11 for vandalizing Habitat’s study, added: “It doesn’t matter the protection that has there (in Tamil Nadu), every time he arrives in Mumbai, he will be welcome in a good” seine style “… It is not a threat. He must face the law and follow the procedure.”
On Friday, the Superior Court of Madras granted relief and Judge Sunder Mohan said that Kamra Prima Facie satisfied the court on why he could not approach a court in Maharashtra immediately.
“This court is inclined to grant an early bond until April 7,” said the judge. “He will execute a link with the satisfaction of the Court of Judicial Magistrates of Vanur,” added the order.
When the plea appeared at the hearing, Kamra’s lawyer, V Southshies, presented the accusation against him was that he had made certain comments about Eknath Shinde in a foot comedy program entitled “Naya Bharat”. He also presented that the accusation did not guarantee an interrogation of custody and could not find an anticipatory bond in Maharashtra. Kamra’s lawyer said that his client’s life was made by ruling members of the party and ministers in Maharashtra.
Kamra’s lawyer in Mumbai, Ashwin Thool, logged down from the capital of Maharashtra. Although the FIR was registered in Khar, Kamra looked for an early bail of Madras HC while residing within the jurisdiction of the court and feared imminent arrest at the hands of the Mumbai police if he was going to travel to Mumbai to seek a regular anticipatory bond. “He also fears physical body damage and real threats for his life and freedom in case of his arrest by the Mumbai Police, a threat made chillingly in public by the paintings of the political parties,” said his lawyer, V Suresh.
“From the release date of this YouTube video, the petitioner has been receiving threats of physical damage and death on several social networks platforms, and even in his personal and mobile email. These are death threats and threats of damage to my life and the life of my loved ones,” said his request.
Kamra said the song in dispute that he narrated “does not name anyone.” “The program reflects its satirical style of observational humor and a politically charged satire, touching issues that resonate with contemporary India,” said his plea. Kamra was based on the decision of SC in the case of Priya Indoria of Karnataka to seek transit relief, saying that it was not a risk of escape and that it would cooperate with police investigation.
