ITBP constable guns down senior after spat over dress code


Raipur: An ITBP agent allegedly killed his older colleague by shooting 20 rounds from his service weapon after a heated discussion in Raipur de Chhattisgarh on Monday, police said.
The incident took place at the headquarters of the Battalion of the 38th ITBP Battalion under the limits of the Kharara Police Station, said Raipur SSP Lal UuD Singh. According to the preliminary information, Agent Saroj Kumar Yadav (32) supposedly opened fire to the sub-inspector Assistant Singhi Dahiya (59) with his service weapon, an INSA rifle, killing him, said the SSP.
The official said that a police team was transferred to the place after being alerted. Another policeman said that Yadav was deployed in the morning parade service, during which Dahiya supposedly rebuked him for not dressing correctly. Led to an aggrabble argument between the duo. The official said that the agent shot 20 rounds from his rifle inas in the way out of his barracks, killing him on the spot. Detailed investigation is being carried out in the incident, he added.
