Nueva Delhi: Tamil Nadu’s Prime Minister MK Stalin criticized National Education Policy (NEP) on Wednesday, describing it “Saffron policy“And claiming that it aims to promote Hindi instead of the general development of the country.
“National educational policy is not an educational policy; it is saffron policy. Politics is not created to develop India but to develop Hindi. We oppose politics, since it would destroy the Tamil Nadu education system completely,” Stalin said while adding a demonstration in Thiruvallur.
He also said that NEP does not recognize the reservation, which he described as social justice. “Nep denies the amount of assistance to SCS, STS and other backward classes,” he alleged during the public meeting.
Stalin also accused the central government of retaining the participation of funds from Tamil Nadu because the State did not adopt NEP. “We are asking for your fiscal participation, which we pay with our efforts. What is the problem with this? Is it fair to threaten without freeing funds for the well -being of the 43 Lakh schools? As we do not accept NEP, they refuse to release funds that belong to Tamil Nadu. We would have received the scheme that everyone who brought everyone in education. But that is why we oppose,” he said.
The dispute point in the debate on NEP is its Three Language FormulaTamil Nadu fears could lead to Hindi’s imposition in the state. Stalin previously argued that policy gives Hindi preference on regional languages, affecting the autonomy and linguistic diversity of the State.
However, the central government insists that the NEP is designed to promote multilingualism and provide flexibility in language education. The Minister of Education of the Union, Dharmendra Pradhan, has refuted claims of Hindi impositiondeclaring that policy allows States to decide on their favorite languages.
On the issue of delimitation, Stalin claimed that the BJP is trying to increase the number of parliamentarians in the states where it has influence to strengthen its position. “BJP is trying to keep power in the northern states,” he said.
In addition, he added: “BJP is trying to increase the number of parliamentarians in the states of its influence and develop the party. DMK will stop it.”
Stalin also claimed that the BJP wants to destroy the federal structure, adding that “they will never be submissive to the fascism of the BJP even if we lose our lives.”
“We collect all of India against BJP fascism. BJP Casteist thoughts neglect social justice to our people and destroy community harmony. If we do not stop stopping this now, then you can never stop. We collect India as a team under social justice, federalism, secularism and state rights. If we meet as a team, only India can be saved, “he said.
