An Islamabad court ordered the blockade of 27 YouTube channels to allegedly transmit anti-state content and disseminate “false, misleading and false information, arose on Tuesday.

Among the 27 channels are those of the PTI, journalists Matiuallah Jan, Wajahat Khan, Ahmad Noorani and Asad Ali Toor; Former presenters Imran Riaz, Orya Maqbool, know Shakir and Moeed Pirzada.
He also said that YouTube channels “found themselves involved in sharing highly intimidating, provocative and derogatory content against state institutions and Pakistan state officials” and were a “source of public dissemination/propagation of false, misleading and false information against state institutions/officials.”
He said that through their channels, the suspects had “tried to provoke the general public staff and the armed forces trying to create a feeling of bad will between the pillars of the State.”
If Khan had asked the court to issue an arrest warrant/citation to Google to eliminate/block the 27 YouTube channels.

He ordered that the “chief officer in charge of the Department of Security/Registration Custodian” for Google Block/Eliminate the 27 YouTube channels.
Today early, Toor said he had received a YouTube notice, informing him about the legal request received to delete his channel. “You can choose to act on said content in terms of the judicial order mentioned above. If you do not, according to our obligations of the local law, we can comply with the request without notifying it,” said the notice.
