Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said they would take responsibility for the United States for any Israeli attack against its nuclear facilities, after US media reported that Israel was preparing for a strike.
The report occurred even when Iran and the United States would meet in Rome on Friday for a fifth round of nuclear conversations mediated by Omar.
“We believe that in the case of any attack against the nuclear facilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran by the Zionist regime (Israel), the United States government will also be involved and will assume legal responsibility,” Araghchi said in a letter to the United Nations published on Thursday.
“Iran warns strongly against any adventurism by the Zionist regime and will decisively respond to any threat or illegal act of this regime,” Araghchi added.
Tuesday, CNN He informed that Israel was making preparations to attack Iranian nuclear facilities.
The nuclear conversations, which began on April 12, are the highest level among the enemies for a long time from the United States in 2018, withdrew from a historical agreement between Iran and the world powers, during the first mandate of President Donald Trump in office.
Israel, the enemy’s enemy of Iran, has threatened to use force against Iranian nuclear sites since the conversations began.
On Thursday, Ali Mohammad Naini, the spokesman for the body of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard of Iran, warned about a “devastating” response in the case of an Israeli attack.
“If the delusional Zionist regime commits a silly act and launches an attack, it will definitely receive a devastating and decisive response in its small and vulnerable geography,” said Naini, according to the ISNA news agency.
Also on Thursday, a group of protesters gathered near the Fordow nuclear enrichment plant to the south of Tehran to express their support for the country’s nuclear activities.
The crowd stirred the Iranian flags and the slogans sung as “nuclear energy is our inalienable right” and “without commitment, without surrender, only confrontation with the United States.”
Iran does not recognize Israel and generally refers to him as the “Zionist regime”, and the two countries have fought against a shadow war for years.
The two enemies exchanged direct attacks last year for the first time, in the context of the very high regional tensions caused by Gaza’s conflict.
