Government sources said the Office of the Principal Minister (CMO) directed the approval of the case after receiving a complaint. In the complaint, Vishwajit Datta de Sael Solar P6 PVT LTD wrote to CMO on March 20 declaring that his company wanted to establish a manufacturing unit for solar cells and solar parts with solar energy in UP. In addition, he declared that investing officials demanded 5% of the cost of the project to eliminate the proposal, which he refused to pay.
The plaintiff said that his request was submitted to invest as much and online. However, before the request to the Evaluation Committee was submitted, a “senior investigator of Invest Up” gave him the number of a Nikant Jain and told him that if Jain recommended his project, the evaluation panel and the state cabinet would clarify him immediately. Datta declared in his complaint that Jain told him again that only he could help this project clarify. Police arrested Jain on Thursday.
