Karachi: In another accident that involved a great traffic that violated a prohibition of his movement during the day, an industrialist and his son died when a trailer hit his car, which fell from the ICI bridge to the ground on Monday afternoon, he said Police.
The incident caused a strong reaction from the industrial community of the city that criticized the government of Sindh for its “inability to control murderers.”
Di-South Syed Asad Raza said Sunrise That Ashraf Adamani, 64, and their two children, Naveed and Usman, headed towards their industry in the site area from their home in DH when an imprudently driven trailer (SMA-129) crashed into their vehicle from behind in The ICI bridge.
He said that when the heavy vehicle hit his car, he left the driver’s control, he crashed with a Rickshaw and a motorcycle and fell from the bridge. As a result, Ashraf and Naveed died on the spot, while Usman, suffered serious injuries in the accident.
The rescue teams rushed to the place and recovered the bodies and the injured person. The dead and wounded were transferred to Dr. Ruth Pfau Civil Karachi Hospital.
The wandering driver managed to escape from the place, leaving behind the heavy vehicle that was confiscated by the docks police.
The officials said that Rickshaw’s driver and a woman traveling on the motorcycle were also injured in the accident.
The excavation said that Adamani was an industrialist, who had a plastic industry, Ashraf Enterprises, in the site area.
Regarding the movement of heavy vehicles during the day, the excavation said that the trailers transport the load from the port area to nearby yards and warehouses, and do not enter the areas of the city during the day.
He said the police were waiting for the victims’ family to stay.

In a overwhelming statement, the president of the Association of Industry Sites, Ahmed Azeem Alvi, condemned the government of Sindh for leaving the business community and the citizens of Karachi at the mercy of hazardous trailers, stating that urgent measures must be taken.
“The lives of Karachi’s people are not disposable. The government must take decisive measures to avoid new tragedies caused by reckless trailers, ”he said in a statement issued Monday night.
He said that the tragic incident has caused outrage among the business community and has generated concerns about the un controlled movement of heavy vehicles in the city.
Expressing a deep pain for the unfortunate deaths, the president of the association regretted the recurring hazards that these heavy transport vehicles represent and requested urgent reforms to regulate their movement.
“Governor Kamran Tessori and Sindh’s prime minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, have been urged to take immediate measures against the growing threat of trailers that accelerate through the city. These vehicles represent a continuous threat to residents and Karachi authorities must enforce strict controls, which include prohibiting trailers entering urban areas during peak hours, ”he said.
Alvi asked the law enforcement agencies that actively address this problem and make sure Karachi’s roads are safe for travelers.
He demanded an emergency meeting with government officials to devise a plan to control reckless trailers and avoid a greater loss of lives.
He criticized the authorities for their lack of application, stating that the unregulated trailer activity contributed to severe accidents and endangers innumerable lives. “If these violations persist, Karachi could face a significant crisis of law and order,” he warned.
