India’s opposition parties have asked the governor of Cashmiro busy to renounce the people of the territory with an apology after admitting a “security failure” in Pahalgam’s attack that killed 26 people.
On April 22, 26 tourists were killed at a mountain station at the Cashmiro Pahalgam occupied by India (Iok). India has blamed Pakistan for the horrible attack, an accusation that the latter denies. Islamabad has requested an international independent investigation into the massacre.
In an interview with the Times of India On Monday, Lieutenant Iok governor and the leader of the Bharatiya Janata party, Manoj Sinha, “I assume all the responsibility of the incident, which was undoubtedly a security failure.”
In response to admission, numerous Indian politicians criticized him for negligence and for his delay in assuming responsibility and requested his resignation.
The Indian National Congress | (INC) suggested that Sinha intended to protect “unpalified officials” in the government of the Union led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, The wire reported.
Congress spokesman Pawan Khera said in an X: “He (Sinha) finally assumes Pahalgam’s responsibility after 82 days of the attack. In doing so, who is protecting in Delhi? How many days, weeks, months were also responsible and resigned or looted?”
Similarly, the national spokesman for INC, Shama Mohamed asked: “Since then [Sinha] He has assumed all the responsibility of the security period during the Pahalgama attack: When does it resign? In a democracy, the next step after assuming responsibility is the resignation!
Meanwhile, Imran Nabi Dar, spokesman for the National Conference of the declarant of IOK, said The wire That the “next logical step for him (Sinha) should be to give up and apologize to the people of Jammu and Kashmir whose lives, livelihoods and dignity were put into play due to their mistakes.”
The leader and general secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), My Tarigami, said his party had been demanding responsibility for the Government of the Union since the attack. He asked the Government to provide details about the lapses that resulted in the death of 26 civilians.
“All those responsible must be responsible. Acceptance means some action against those who have made such a serious mistake,” the report said.
The PPP senator, Sherry Rehman, also reacted to the interview today, saying that the admission came “long after two months and after going to a whole war for it.”
She added: “The opposition in Lok Sabha really should defeat this regime for the spectacular incompetence that endangers life, credibility and reputation of India. The impulse is there.”
New Delhi ‘lied’ to the public about Pahalgam’s attack
In an exclusive interview with Indian journalist Karan Thapar last week, the president of PPP and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the Indian public was “mining” by New Delhi about Pakistan’s alleged participation in the Pahalgama attack.
In an interview with The wireThapar, the head of PPP said that if Pakistan had been involved in the attack, the evidence would have emerged and the perpetrators identified.
“With regard to Pahalgam’s terrorist attack, Pakistan has been willing to be part of an impartial international investigation; his government rejected that,” Bilawal said.
“To this day, the Indian government has not shared with Pakistan, with the international community, with the Indian public … Who are exactly these people who were involved in this terrorist attack that are from Pakistan?”
When he was pressed on the subject, Bilawal said that if Pakistan were really involved, the international community would support the perspective of India.
“It is very uncomfortable for you to point out the truth to the Indian public, that they have lied … that Pakistan was involved in this attack when we were not,” he said.
“The government has not been able to provide evidence. That is why during this war, the Indian media and the Indian government launched a misinformation campaign to continue deceiving the people of India,” he added.
