New Delhi: Express concern about Khalistan followers Discontinuing screenings of the film ‘Emergency’ in the UK, MEA said on Friday freedom of speech It cannot be applied selectively.
“We consistently raise concerns about the UK government regarding incidents of violent protest and intimidation by anti-India elements, freedom of speech and expression cannot be applied selectively and those who obstruct it must be held accountable” said MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal. “We hope that the UK side will take appropriate action against those responsible,” he added.
Responding to queries about Khalistan Separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun’s presence at an inaugural event of US President Donald Trump, Mea said: “We will continue to raise issues that relate to our national security with the American government.” Pannun was also reported to have raised pro-Khalistan slogans at the event.
