New Delhi: India will show best practices for Waste management adopted during the Mahakumbh in the ‘3rd regional and Circular economy The forum in Asia and the Pacific ‘will be held in Jaipur next week, said Monday the Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar.
The authorities said that the findings of the University of Stanford will be presented at the meeting that will also see the participation of 25 other countries.
“We will definitely show the best waste management practices in the Mahakumbh before the world,” said the minister in response to a question when addressing the media, in the regional event. The Mahakumbh is the largest event in the world and people have praised the waste management plan that is being implemented there, he added.
Khattar said the religious congregation is being carried out in an extended area over 4,000 hectares, which is large enough to accommodate a city. He added that up to 25,000 people have been deployed in the Mahakumbh for waste management.
The 45 -day religious congregation in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh on January 13 and culminates on February 26. More than 60 million people have given themselves a sacred safe in the Triveni Sangam since it began, according to the authorities.
At the Regional Conference, Khattar said the participants will discuss the issues that revolve around “waste to wealth” to boost the circular economy. This is the second time that India organizes the conference.
