India relocates students within Iran as Israel strikes – World

New Delhi said Monday that his diplomats were helping some Indian students relocate on the way in Iran, which has been under days of an Israeli mortal bombardment.

Tehran has responded with strikes against Israel, since it unleashed waves of attacks against Iran on Friday, which caused a global alarm that the conflict could break into a regional war.

New Delhi, who has relations with both countries, has tried to relocate its citizens within Iran after Tehran closed their airspace.

“The Indian embassy in Tehran is continuously monitoring the security situation and involves Indian students in Iran to guarantee their safety,” said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

There are about 10,000 Indian citizens in Iran, according to government data last year, while 2022 figures listed more than 2,000 students in Iran.

New Delhi said Friday that he was ready “to extend all possible support” to both countries, since he urged “avoiding any stepped step.”

“Existing dialogue and diplomacy channels should be used,” said Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal.

The Ministry of Health of Iran has reported at least 224 people killed in Israeli strikes, while Israeli authorities have counted more than a dozen deaths since Tehran began their retaliation attacks on Friday.
