An anti -terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore sent on Wednesday to the nephew of the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, Shershah Khan to jail in a judicial return in a case related to the attack of the Jinnah house during the disturbances of May 9, 2023.
Lahore’s police arrested Shershah, son of Imran’s sister, Aleema Khan, from outside his home on August 22. His brother Shahrez Khan, who was collected the previous day, was also delivered to police custody for eight days for the same accusations.
The Lahore police presented Shershah before the Court of the Judge of Atc Manzer Ali Gill today at the end of his five -day physical return.
The lawyer Rana Mudassar Uur, the secretary general of PTI Salman Akram Raja and lawyer Taimur Malik appeared as Sherhah’s lawyer, while Imtiaz Ahmad Sipra was the prosecutor.
Aleem, along with his sisters, Uzma Khan and Noreen, appeared in court, while Sherhah appeared in a tense security.
The Prosecutor’s Office requested a 30 -day physical return, while the defense lawyer requested that the suspect was discharged from the case. Judge Gill, rejecting the police application, sent Sherhah to the judicial prison.

The judge ordered that Shershah was produced before the court on September 11 and ordered the investigation officer to present the charges for then.
At the beginning of the hearing, state prosecutor Sipra informed the judge that a cane was recovered from Sherhah. However, he added, the mobile mask, Shershah’s tear gas mask and social media accounts had not yet recovered.
At this point, the Uumer lawyer said that his client was falsely accused and that “his arrest in the case was illegal.” “The court can reject the request of the Physical Remunction Police,” he said.

Amnesty International and the Pakistan Human Rights Commission have expressed their concerns about the arrests of Shahrez and Sherhah, and the first qualifies them as a “political witch hunt.”
Shahrez’s wife said her husband was in Chitral with her family on May 9, 2023, sharing the alleged photos of the trip. At the same time, the PTI has challenged a video that is shared by Shahrez, stating that it was from the public meeting of the party in Kahna held on September 21, 2024, not of the 2023 disturbances.

On May 9, 2023, PTI supporters, who protested the arrest of Imran, organized violent protests throughout the country, destroying military facilities and state buildings, while attacked the residence of the commander of Lahore’s body.
