The president of the PTI, the lawyer Gohar Ali Khan, said on Monday that the founder of the party and former prime minister, Imran Khan became public today.
Last month, the question of a meeting between the leaders of General Munir and the PTI Ali Amin Gandapur and the lawyer Gohaha was under intense scrutiny, but the agenda of the appointment remained wrapped in mystery, in the midst of contradictory statements on both sides .
Initially, the interim president of PTI had denied any contact, but then confirmed a meeting with the Army Chief, where he claimed to have “received a positive response.” However, a statement attributed to security sources had denied any political aspect of the meeting, saying that the content of the meeting was being reported out of context.
Speaking to the media today, the lawyer Gohaha said that Imran, in his letter, reminded the Army Chief that, as a former prime minister and founder of the PTI of the country’s largest political party, he wanted to point out “certain things for which which which are which are what the distance between people and the establishment was expanding ”.
Continuing citing Imran, Gohaha said: “This [mistrust] It should not take place at all, but there are certain reasons why this gulf is expanding.
“Due to these reasons, the Army is blamed, so policy reasons must be revalue.”
According to Gohaha, the letter also mentioned some of the reasons that have created the perceived gap between the establishment and the public, including the 2024 elections, the approval of the 26th amendment and the recent PCA law, and how social networks were being directed To suppress dissent.
The lawyer Gohar reiterated that Imran had written the letter in the previous context “in great detail”, adding that the letter would be made public today.
Preparing the content of the letter, PTI’s lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, said Imran had urged security institutions to realize that there was “a need for the time to change the policies that are currently in force in the country.”
Chaudhry said that the main reason for the distrust of the establishment and the people, according to Imran, was the alleged rig in the February 8 elections that led a “minority government to impose itself on the wishes of the majority.”
“This is the first discussion point between people and institutions,” Chaudhry added.
He said that the second point in the letter was the approval of the amendment 26 through which the “judicial has been controlled” and that it was led to “ruin the justice system and provide coverage to the electoral fraud and the cases of Imran Khan “
Chaudhry claimed that the reason for the delay in the sentence of Al-Qadir Trust case was to affect Imran’s appeals after “packing in court” placing them before “favored and pocket judges.”
“The nation is strictly discontent with this lack of respect for the court and the justice system with the intellectuality and the largest lawyers in the country also agitated against this.”
Chaudhry also criticized the recent changes in the PCA law to “put restrictions on the Internet, social networks, freedom of opinion and expression, opposite thoughts and only promote favorable voices.”
PTI’s lawyer said that the country’s IT industry was at stake and that human rights violations in the country also endanger the GSP+state. “Imran Khan says that if we do not treat our citizens according to international law, then there will be an increase in difficulties,” he added.
Explaining the fourth point, he said: “All institutions have had the task of crushing the PTI in the country. Terrorism is increasing because those responsible for stopping it are busy with the PTI … Because of this, their attention has been removed from their real work and terrorism has increased in the country even more than 2013. “
The fifth point that Imran highlighted was the “guilt for the contravention and violation of the Court and the orders of the Judiciary that also fall into the Army.”
Chaudhry said there were some forces that did not allow the implementation of judicial orders. “The guilt of daily threats to journalists and judges are also falling on the institutions due to which the gap between them and people are expanding when the need is that policies change quickly and establish according to law and the Constitution for that political instability in the country is reduced, ”he added.
PTI’s lawyer said that according to Imran, it was difficult for the country to find the coast unless there was a change in policies.
He added that Imran asked in the interaction of today’s media what solutions there were to the country’s problems, apart from free and fair elections, implementation of the law and the Constitution, respect for human rights and free media and internet .
Chaudhry said that to another question, Imran said: “If someone else does not, it is my duty as a former prime minister to highlight threats to the country.”
PTI’s lawyer said that “policy change” was being demanded “in the broader interest of the nation. This is not about individuals but the future of the nation and all citizens.”
Imran had complained last week that none of the various requests, presented by him and his party, assaulting violations of human rights and electoral laws, were taken by the Supreme Court in the last 18 months.
In letters addressed to the President of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Yahya Afridi, and the head of the Constitutional Bank of the Supreme Court, Judge Aminuddin, published by his legal team on Thursday night, the founder of PTI had also criticized the government of the government of the government of the day to promulgate laws to aim at your party.
It was also attached with the ‘evidence’ letter of the government’s high hand, including the lists of party workers who had disappeared, were injured or killed by an alleged state action.
The letter and its annexes, which cover hundreds of pages, included photographs, medical reports, judicial orders and requests, press clippings and other relevant documents that the PTI leader believed that he corroborated his statements.
Last year, in May 2024, Imran had said that he would write Munir for the good of the country and his problems, but that letter had not emerged later.
