IAF’s Mirage-2000 crashes near Gwalior, both pilots eject safely | India News


Nueva Delhi: In another military accident, a Mirage-200000 combat plane on the IAF first line fell in Shivpuri near Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday afternoon. The two pilots managed to expel safely.
The Mirage-200000, which had taken off from the Gwalior Air Base, developed “a technical malfunction of the system” and then crashed around 2.40 pm. “A investigation court has been ordered to determine the exact reason of the accident,” said an IAF official.
The IAF has around 50 Mirage-200000, which were induced in the mid-1980s, in its combat fleet.
French -origin fighters have undergone an important update in an RS project 17,547 million rupees, which includes 490 Mica missile systems for 6,600 million rupees.

The Mirage-200s were deployed to shoot the guided penetration pumps of Spice-2000 Israeli during the bombing prior to dawn of a Jemot terrorist installation in Balakot in Pakistan on February 26 in 2019.
The IAF ‘Top Gun’ School called Tactics and Air Combat Development establishment is also based on Gwalior.
