Hundreds of thousands of mourners to watch Vatican procession

Most internal promotions do not receive so much attention. Most employment selection processes do not have centuries of history behind them, and few, if there are any, have a special name.

But then, most work teams do not end with a new Pope.

Catholic cardinals around the world are converging in the city of the Vatican before the conclave that will choose the successor of Pope Francis, who died on Monday. The favorites have emerged, and once the conclave begins, it will probably not spend much time before a new Pope is announced, since the data shows that we agree not to take long as they used to do it.

The agrees were first used to choose a Pope about eight centuries, and the early elections lasted months, even years.
