A committee from the House of Representatives launched on Monday a treasure of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein that included a LASA note, which President Trump allegedly sent as part of a collection of messages for the 50th birthday of the sexual offender sentenced by the deceased more than two decades ago.
The so -called birthday book was, with much, the most revealing of the public made records of the citation sent to the Epstein farm last month by the Supervision Committee of the House of Representatives. The panel published all the documents he received hours after the Democrats in the Committee published an image of the birthday letter that was signed “Donald”.
Trump has denied having something to do with the card, which was included in a leather birthday messages for Epstein in 2003.
The birthday book also included a handwritten letter that seemed to be from former President Bill Clinton. He referred to Epstein who has “childish curiosity” and a “impulse to make a difference.”
Clinton’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comments. Clinton has denied having gone to Epstein’s private island, where it was assumed that there was part of the abuse.
The Wall Street Journal was the first report of the existence of the card. Trump sued the magazine, his editor and two reporters in July. A Dow Jones spokesman said the newspaper was next to his reports and “would defend himself vigorously against any lawsuit.”
NBC News has not independently verified the magazine’s reports. The White House Cabinet Deputy Director Taylor Budowich said on Monday that the note should help Trump’s legal case because “it is not his signature.” He added numerous photos of Trump’s current firm, in which he signed his full name.
Previous examples of Trump’s firm only its first name, including one of 1984 that was published in the New York Times in 2016 and another of 1999 on the website of an auction house, it seemed similar to the only one published by the Democrats. George Conway, a Trump lawyer and former supporter turned into a vehicle critic, published a note of thanks on social networks dated April 13, 2006, who said he received from Trump, with a firm that also resembled Epstein’s 2003.
The White House Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, said that a story of Wall Street Journal on Monday about the Democrats making public the card “demonstrates that this whole story of ‘Birthday card’ is false.
“As I said all the time, it is very clear that President Trump did not draw this image, and did not sign it,” he said in X. “It’s false news to perpetuate Epstein’s Democratic deception!”
Vice President JD Vance added Monday night in X that Democrats only care about “inventing another false scandal” to “spread President Trump with lies.”
“No one is falling in love with this BS,” he wrote.
The publication of the Democrats shows a scheme drawn by hand of a naked woman with the first name of Trump signed in the pubic area, as well as a typed note that represents an imaginary conversation between him and Epstein, the billionaire who would later be accused of sex trafficking.
“Voice Over: There must be more in life than having everything,” the note begins.
“Donald: Yes, there is, but I will not tell you what it is,” he continues.
“I will not, since I know what it is,” says Jeffrey.
Donald says: “We have certain things in common Jeffrey,” and he replies: “Yes, we do it, to think about it.”
Donald then says: “Enigmas never ages, have you noticed that?” Jeffrey replies: “In fact, it was clear to me the last time I saw you.”
He concludes with Donald telling Jeffrey: “A friend is something wonderful. Happy birthday, and every day is another wonderful secret.” Trump’s full name is written above the firm “Donald”.
Trump said in Truth Social Platform in July: “These are not my words, or the way I speak. Besides, I don’t draw photos.”
Shortly after that position, the Washington Post published a story pointing out that he had made four sketches of buildings and a bridge that was auctioned during his first term as president.
Days later, he modified his previous statement while talking to journalists. “Sometimes people say: ‘Would you draw a building?’ And I will draw four lines and a small roof, you know, for a charity organization.
In their demand for defamation, Trump’s lawyers who claimed that the note was “non -existent” and said “there is no authentic letter or drawing.”
Brad Edwards, a lawyer who has represented Epstein’s survivors, said in a statement on Monday night that “Trump’s hypocrisy has been more frustrating for victims: he told the public that Epstein’s story should” disappear “, but filed a demand of $ 10 billion that only magnifies the problem that wants to be silenced.”
“With today’s launch, the least he could do is withdraw that demand and publicly apologize to the journalist who attacked for informing what he seems to have proven true,” Edwards added.
The president of the Supervision Committee of the House of Representatives, James Eat, R-Ky., Said in a statement that the Democrats in the panel were “cherry documents and the politicization information received from the Epstein farm.”
“President Trump is not accused of any irregularity and the Democrats are ignoring the new information that the committee received today,” said Eating.
Other Republicans of the Chamber echoed the position of the White House that the letter did not include Trump’s authentic firm.
“What I see is not his signature,” said Representative Byron Donalds, R-Fla, said in Capitol Hill. “I’ve seen Donald Trump sign a million things.”
The representative Tim Burchett, R-Ten., Also questioned the authenticity of the letter. “Anyone can make a firm,” he said. “For me, it’s simply false. Everything is false right now.”
The representative Thomas Massie, R-Ky., Who initiated a high request for the release of documents of the Department of Justice in the case of Epstein, described the birthday letter as “distraction”, saying that “I do not prove anything” and was not useful for the victims of Epstein.
“I don’t think there is anything there to imply Trump,” Massie said. “But I think there are some billionaire donors on the Republican and Democratic side that will be ashamed.”
The Democrats of the House of Representatives on the Panel published another image in X of Epstein’s birthday book before the full launch of farm documents. They said he showed “Epstein and a Mar-A-Lago member who joked about selling a woman ‘completely depreciated’ to Donald Trump for $ 22,500”.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the page of Joel Pashcow, who according to the publication wrote the attached note and is shown with Epstein that makes the novelty check. Pashcow did not immediately respond to a request for comments from NBC News.
The version of the book received by the Supervision Committee was written so as not to show the names and faces of women and minors, according to the production letter sent from Epstein’s lawyers, the committee.
In addition to the birthday book, the farm delivered Epstein’s will, which did not include any remarkable information. He also delivered previously published information, such as the Non -Prosecution Agreement between Epstein and the United States Prosecutor’s Office for the Southern District of Florida and the entrances of Epstein’s addresses.
The committee citation said the birthday book was gathered by Epstein’s accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, who turns a 20 -year sentence for sexual trafficking.
Maxwell was questioned about the existence of the book when he met with the attached attorney general Todd Blanche in July. He acknowledged that he coordinated the project and had asked some of Epstein’s friends to contribute to birthday wishes, but said he did not remember if he had talked to Trump about the project or if he had presented something.
Trump and Epstein were friends at one time, although Trump has said they had years before Epstein’s arrest for sexual trafficking.
Maxwell is appealing his sentence before the Supreme Court, and his lawyer has said that Trump hopes for forgiveness.
Epstein’s birthday book paints an image of a man surrounded by luminaries: a past and future president, financial and main scientists and mathematicians of Harvard. It makes it clear that anyone who knew Epstein saw him well as consumed with sex.
In Page after page, his friends argue his sexual getaways with Epstein while they were young and made fun of him about having an obsession with sex. There are photos of a naked Epstein and another from a naked Maxwell. There is also an image drawn by Epstein massage by three young women on a beach.
The book is full of personal stories, anecdotes, photos of a young Epstein at school, a printed email of a teacher and letters of friends in Brooklyn. It also includes dozens of Epstein photos with women whose faces are written.
On the steps of the Capitol last week, Epstein accusers said there were those close to Epstein who should have known what was happening.
Epstein died of suicide in his jail cell while waiting for a trial for federal positions of sex trafficking in New York in 2019. His death caused years of conspiracy theories, some pressed for Trump allies.
The case exploded again in the headlines this summer, after the Department of Justice and the FBI announced in a joint memo without sign that they agreed that Epstein’s death was the result of suicide, which was not expected to be expected that no more information about the case were charged.
The unexpected movement caused a violent reaction of many Trump supporters, since he and his allies had fueled conspiracy theories about Epstein’s death connected politically and had promised to be transparent and take others in the case.
The Chamber’s Supervision Committee also cited the Department of Justice for its investigation archives. The Department of Justice has delivered approximately one third of the archives so far, and the Democrats have said that the vast majority of that material was already public.
