Hilary Weston, a former Canadian Irish fashion model, 26th Governor of Ontario and Business, has died, her family said in a statement on Sunday. She was 83 years old.

She was married to the late Canadian billionaire Galen Weston, with whom she had two children, and had several executive roles in the fashion industry on both sides of the Atlantic, even in Holt Renfrew in Canada and Brown Thomas & Co. in Ireland.

The Weston born in Ireland was invested in the order of Canada in 2005 for its public service and philanthropic work. He served as Lieutenant Governor of Ontario from 1997 to 2002.

“Our mother lived with an unwavering devotion to her family and a belief in the power and importance of the community and service,” said his son Galen Jr. in the statement.
