Highly anticipated video game Grand Theft Auto VI release postponed to May 2026 – World

The creative team behind the popular Grand Theft Auto Videoogame postponed the launch of the last installment in several months until May 2026, reaching the actions of parents who take two interactive.

Originally, Grand Theft Auto VI will launch at the end of this year, and a trailer showed that it would develop in a Miami Vice City and present a playable female protagonist for the first time.

“We regret a lot that this is later than I expected,” said Rockstar Games editor in a statement.

“With each game we have launched, the goal has always been to try to overcome their expectations, and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception,” he said.

“We hope you understand that we need this extra time to deliver to the level of quality you expect and deserve.”

His predecessor, GTA V, was launched in 2013 and sold more than 200 million copies.

Strauss Zelnick, executive director of Take-Two, supported the movement in a statement issued by the parent company.

“While we seriously take the movement of our titles and appreciate the vast and deep global anticipation for Grand Theft Auto VI, we are still firm in our commitment to excellence,” Zelnick said.

The first advance of GTA VI appeared in December 2023 and has been seen more than 250 million times on Rockstar’s YouTube channel.

Established in the song of Tom Petty “Love is a Long Road”, it opens with a female character named Lucia that is released from prison in what appears to be a fictitious version of Florida.

Near the end of the clip of one minute and 30 seconds, she tells her male partner in the crime: “The only way we are going to overcome this is to join, being a team.”

The couple broke into a store with drawn guns and flags that cover the lower halves of their faces.

Fans saw the scene as a confirmation that the rumors of a “Bonnie and Clyde” crimes are making come true.

Together with his wild success, the GTA series has faced criticism for its violent content.

From the beginning, critics have accused Grand Theft Auto Auto to glorify violence and encourage players to participate in criminal behavior, accusations rejected by Taken-Two Interactive based in New York.

GTA players sell drugs, fight, steal, go cars and more. Game options also included assaulting sex workers and going to Striptease clubs, increasing the anger of activists.
