According to DGP (Andaman) HGS Dhaliwal, the drama developed during a routine patrol of the PMF Rangat team aboard the Quick interceptor boat Fib Sustook.
“The crew saw the boat, which transported fishermen from Junglighat, drifting aimlessly due to engine failure. Desperate fishermen were pointing to help, seeing that the PMF Rangat equipment came into action,” said Dhaliwal.
Without hesitation, the crew quickly intercepted the boat, ensuring the safety of the on -board. Then they towed the boat to Rangat Bay, when the necessary repairs were facilitated. After a brief delay, the fishermen were able to resume their trip safely to Sri Vijayapuram.
