Federal prosecutors accused a 55 -year -old New York man, on Tuesday, claiming that he built seven homemade bombs with the help of artificial intelligence, a process that called “easier than buying dust weapons,” according to judicial documents.
The man, Michael Gann, transported the bombs from Long Island to New York City and stored five of them and four scourge shells on the roof of an apartment building in the neighborhood of Soho, authorities said. I intended to combine shotgun shells with one or more of the improvised explosive devices, they said.
On March 27, Gann published a message to the official account of President Donald Trump, according to the accusation.
“Dear @potus, I am thinking that now here in New York is a pity that the wall was not built before the National Guard had to come here for protests and disturbances,” he said he had written. “Or would you simply drop a bomb in this place and because they seem to come and come?”
Five weeks later, Gann was arrested after publishing on Instagram, “Who wants me to go to play like no tomorrow?” According to the authorities.
Gann has not yet presented a plea, and his lawyer declined to comment.

Gann told the officials responsible for enforcing the law that used two domestic compounds that ordered the improvised explosives, according to judicial documents. He also bought more than 200 cardboard tubes and more than 50 feet of fuses. One of the devices he built had approximately 30 grams of explosive dust, approximately 600 times the legal limit for consumer fireworks.
The authorities said it seemed to have acted alone and that it did not act as part of a group.
“Gann supposedly produced multiple improvised explosive devices for its use in Manhattan,” said Christopher Raia, head of the FBI New York Field Office. “Due to the successful association of the law enforcement agencies in New York, Gann was quickly taken before justice before innocent civilians could damage.”
One of the witnesses, a American military veteran, told the FBI that while Gann was mixing the explosives in Inwood, a city in Long Island said: “What kind of veteran are you? You see a problem in the neighborhood and you do nothing about it.”
“Gann later pointed to a Jewish school,” according to a criminal complaint that was filed at the time of his arrest.
A second witness agreed to make telephone calls to Gann while the FBI listened, according to the criminal complaint. Gann told the witness in a call that “had lit one of the devices near the East River in the FDR unit; that the device had exploded, scaring Gann,” he says.
Gann then said, according to the witness, that he was considering getting rid of the remaining five devices throwing them into the river or giving them to the Fire Department of New York City.
On June 5, the day of the alleged call, the agents of application of the law saw Gann walking down the street carrying a shoulder bag, according to the complaint. When the agents identified Gann, he told them that he was heading to the Fire Department to leave the devices, he says.
After reading their rights, Gann told the officials responsible for enforcing the law that “pyrotechnics wanted to do and used artificial intelligence to learn which chemicals buy and mix,” says the complaint.
He says Gann created four devices initially and threw three on Manhattan’s side of the Williamsburg bridge. Two devices fell into the water, and one fell on the train tracks and recovered near there.
“Gann built explosive devices, stored them on a roof in Soho,” said the interim prosecutor of the United States, Jay Clayton, “and threw one on the subway tracks, putting innumerable lives at risk.”
