The Federal Aviation Administration has based the company of the New York Helicopter Tour that operated the tourism tour that crashed into the Hudson River last week, killing the six people on board, the agency said Monday.
The FAA said the emergency order to mold the New York helicopter letter was issued in part because the company’s operations director had been fired.
The Bell 206 helicopter crashed into the Hudson River at 3:17 pm on Thursday, authorities said.
Siemens Agustín Escobar executive; his wife, Merce Camprubi Montal; his three children; and the pilot Sean Johnson were killed.
The New York helicopter letter had voluntarily closed the flights after the accident, FAA said.
The investigation continues.
The FAA said that it is also reviewing the company’s operations, known as the evaluation program of the certificate holder.
