Nueva Delhi: The leader of Congress, Shama Mohamad, praised on Sunday the victory of India in the Champions Trophy and praised the efforts of the Captain of the Indian Cricket team Rohit Sharma for leading the team from the front with 76 races.
In a publication on social networks about X, Shama said: “Congratulations to the Indian team for its great performance by winning the Champions2025 trophy.”

Previously, Congress spokeswoman, Shama Mohamed, arrived at the headlines after her comments in which the male Crick Captain of India Rohit Sharma was allegedly ashamed.
In a publication on social networks about X, the leader of Congress described the Indian captain as “fat” and “mediocre captain.”
“Rohit Sharma is fat for an athlete! You need to lose weight! And, of course, the most impressive captain he had! She wrote in a publication now eliminated.
Later, Mohamed justified his statement and said that the Tweet was not embarrassed by the body and that he has the right to give his opinion in a democracy. “It was a generic tweet about an athlete’s aptitude. It wasn’t Ver-Sham. I always believed that an athlete should be fit, and I felt that I had a little overweight, so I tweeted on that. The Congress arrested Shama about his comments and asked him to eliminate his publications on social networks and exercise greater caution in the future.
“Dr. Shama Mohammed, national spokesman for the Indian National Congress, made certain comments on a Crick Legend that does not reflect the position of the party. He has been asked to eliminate publications on social networks in a matter of X and he has been advised to have greater caution in the future,” said the leader of the Pawan Khera Congress.
He also added that the party has sports icons in the highest consideration and does not support any statement that Socave its legacy.
