NEW DELHI: Janata Jannayak party (JJP) Leader Ravinder Minna He was shot dead at Panipat in Haryana on Friday night, police said.
The attacker also shot the cousin of Minna and another person, who were injured.
In a statement, the Panipat Police confirmed: “The JJP leader, Ravinder Minna, was shot dead in Panipat on Friday night. The attacker also shot at his cousin and another person. Both were injured, while the JJP leader died. Five teams have formed to attribute to the defendants.”
The incident follows the murder of South BJP leader Jawahra In Sonipat last week. According to Sonipat Police, Jawahra was allegedly killed by his neighbor on March 14 due to a dispute on the earth.
The police assistant commissioner (Crime), the Gohana police station, Rishi Kant, identified the defendant as Monu and said that the incident took place in the village of Jawahara.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the dispute arose after the victim bought land from the defendant’s relatives, which finally led to fatal attack.
