Gruesome murders – Newspaper – DAWN.COM

The spiral of violence in Baluchistan continues, with the barbarian murder of at least nine people on Thursday.

The victims were removed from two buses to Punjab that were traveling between the districts of Zhob and Lorealai, and according to the reports, the assailants verified their ID before downloading them. The prohibited Baluchistan Liberation Front has attributed the responsibility of this atrocity.

This is not the first outrage of this type, since in recent years, there have been several incidents in which non -swallows have been attacked by separatists. Most victims have caused Punjab. On Friday, the bodies of the murdered passengers were sent to their native areas.

Earlier on Thursday, the Army, at the Body Commanders Conference, had promised to take measures against the representatives who believed they were linked to hostile foreign forces, including Fitna al-khawarij and Fitna al-HindustanThe terms used by the military for the separatist groups TTP and Baloch prohibited, respectively. Both threads of militancy have their peculiar dynamics, which require specific anti -terrorist strategies to treat.

With regard to Baluchistan, there can be no justification for such horrible murders, and the elements involved must be taken before justice. No cause can justify addressing innocent people, often from working class environments, who have come to Baluchistan to make a living. In this sense, the nationalist forces of the province who believe in working within the constitutional framework must clearly condemn the atrocious murders of non -balloon individuals.

It is also a fact that such serious crimes only end up hurting Baluchistan, since talented people (teachers, doctors, engineers) will remain away from the province due to security concerns. In addition, such violent episodes have a negative impact on the citizens of Baloch who work or study in other provinces, since these individuals face greater discrimination.

Although strong CT efforts are needed to uproot the terrorist networks responsible for such massacres, in the long term, an approach entitled Solo will not solve the problems of Baluchistan militancy. The terrorist groups, whether local or backed abroad, must be persecuted and neutralized, but there must be a parallel political process in the province, while the genuine demands of the local population, with respect to the forced disappearances, underdevelopment, the lack of opportunities, must be addressed by the State. The separatists exploit these problems, accusing the state of not taking care of the average Baloch.

The administration must demonstrate that these statements are wrong to encourage political dialogue in the province and address people’s socio -economic concerns. It cannot be denied that most of the parts of the province are enormously underdeveloped, particularly in regard to health and education. Hostile foreign actors will only exploit these weaknesses, so the State must address the problems with honesty. Long -term security can only be achieved when there is equitable development throughout Baluchistan.
