The Pakistani government has decided to formally recommend the president of the United States, Donald Trump, for the Nobel Peace Prize 2026 in recognition of his “decisive diplomatic intervention and fundamental leadership” during the recent Indian-Pakistan crisis.
In a publication shared in X, the Government said that the international community had “led testimony of the unprovured and illegal Indian aggression, which constituted a serious violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan, which resulted in the tragic loss of innocent lives, including women, children and the elderly.”
After the Indian aggression, Pakistan “launched the Bunyanum Marsoos operation, a measured military response, resolved and precise,” the post read.
He pointed out that the answer was executed to exercise the “fundamental right to self -defense” of the country and “carefully to restore deterrence”, defending its “territorial integrity while consciously avoiding civil damage.”
The post also said that “in a moment of augmented regional turbulence,” President Trump “demonstrated a great strategic forecast and star stays through a solid diplomatic commitment to Islamabad and New Delhi.”
He continued that the president of the United States “descales a situation of rapid deterioration, finally ensuring a high fire and avoiding a broader conflict between the two nuclear states that would have had catastrophic consequences for millions of people in the region and beyond.”

The government also recognized the “sincere offers” of President Trump to help resolve the long dispute of Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan, a problem that is in the heart of regional instability.
“Durable peace in southern Asia would continue to be difficult to achieve until the implementation of the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council with respect to Jammu and Kashmir,” he observed.
The Government pointed out that President Trump’s leadership during the 2025 Pakistan-India crisis “manifestly shows the continuation of his legacy of pragmatic diplomacy and the effective construction of peace.”
In conclusion, the post said that Pakistan has the hope that Trump’s “sincere efforts” continue to contribute to regional and global stability, particularly in the context of the in progress in the Middle East, including the humanitarian tragedy that develops in Gaza and the deteriorated staircase that involves Iran.
