The conversations between the government and the PTI began in the last week of December to reduce political temperatures, but despite the weeks of negotiations, the dialogue process stagnated on important issues: the formation of two judicial commissions and the release of Prisoners of PTI.

“We continue to focus on our final response that we will not share publicly, since it had been decided that it was a committee issue to the committee and that they did not come,” said Siddiqui, adding that PTI could have shared what his disagreements were at the meeting.
“That could help solve things, we could always have made another meeting based on the answers to see if things advance or not, since there is still time on its deadline of January 31,” he added.
Siddiqui said that the PTI did not respect the president of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq and the Government Committee with his conduct. He said that the committee would not expect the PTI to come or be waiting for it, and no message would be needed for the opposition party to attend the conversations.
The PML-N senator added that the Committee would consider its next action plan if the PTI reconsider its decision.

The opposition leader in the National Assembly, Omar Ayub, said that the party did not attend the fourth round of conversations, since there were no actions on any of the demands of the PTI.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Ishaq Dar, said while talking with the media in Islamabad that the Government had come to the meeting with an answer to the demands of the PTI.
“We had prepared for conversations; I wish they had come, ”he said, noting that the conversations are within the scope of the Constitution.
He added his hopes that the opposition communicates with the president of the National Assembly and attended the committee meeting. “We don’t want to make any unilateral statement.”
While talking with the media outside the House of Parliament, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif was asked if the negotiation committee would dissolve if PTI did not attend the conversations.
“No one can predict the dissolution of the negotiation committee,” he said. “They have refused to sit in the conversations, so this is a useless exercise.”
He added, however, that it was a separate matter if the government’s negotiation committee wanted to wait for the PTI.
The media asked the minister if the roads of negotiations seemed to close, to which he replied that closing doors for conversations was against democracy.
