The Government eliminated the general director of the Federal Research Agency (FIA) Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir of his post on Wednesday in a continuous action against other officials of the Guardian dog.
According to a notification of the Cabinet Secretariat, Jahangir, a BS-21 Officer of the Interior Division was transferred and published as a special service officer (OSD) in the establishment division “with immediate effect and even other orders.”
Once an OSD officer is carried out, their services are suspended indefinitely without assigning any reason.
The FIA had fired 13 of its officials one day before and arrested the promotions of three agents that are said to be involved in the tragedy of the Greek ship in 2024.
Five Pakistani citizens perished after their boats overturned near the Greek islands in December 2024. More than 80 Pakistani, including minors, were aboard the unfortunate ships, which overturned in the Mediterranean.
Previously, 37 suspected officials of participating in these incidents were fired from their service. According to the FIA, the action against officials is being carried out on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The measure against the 13 officials occurred after Jahangir celebrated the departmental procedures against them. A spokesman said that eight agents, two head agents, an inspector and two sub -inspectors were fired. The DG also issued directives to stop the promotion of three agents.
Earlier this month, 65 FIA officials were included in the blacklist to publish in any immigration control circles and antihuman traffic circles in the country in the light of research on the tragedy of the ship of Greece.
The individuals in the blacklist included three attached directors, two attendees directors, four inspectors, 15 sub -inspectors, 13 assistant sub -inspectors, 20 head agents, eight agents and one employee. Most of them belong to the areas of Karachi and Gujranwala of the FIA.
Jahangir was published as an interim DG of the FIA in January 2024 by the caregiver’s government.
