STREET. John – If the opening ceremony was an indication, the next 17 days of competition in the 2025 Canada Games will be full of energy and emotion.
Thousands of young athletes from each province and Canadian territory marched to the downtown Mary Brown with Mary Brown cheers to the strong cheers, but the strongest were reserved for the hosts. The CEO of the host society of the Games of Canada, Karen Sherriffs, said the opening ceremony was a way of introducing “the wealth of our local culture”, but also established the table for what is to come.
“It is that ‘welcome’ to all these athletes who will really prepare the stage for two weeks of really unforgettable competition,” he said. “It is quite magical when all these athletes begin to enter and are the center of attention while entering the province and the territory.
“These athletes have trained for more than four years to reach this point …[and] This is the first time they can represent their province or territory in a national scenario. “
